BAND 6 NURSE PRACTITIONER
Are you a practitioner looking for a new challenge?
We are looking for experienced registered nurses/paramedics to join our team of practitioners within the walk in Centre covering two busy sites. Ideally you will have completed a patient assessment module at masters level, have recent relevant clinical experience in acute or primary care setting and willingness to complete the Non-medical prescribing module.
The post holder will be viewed as an autonomous practitioner and will be fully responsible for managing their own caseload, assessing, treating, referring and discharging patients in their care. Supervision, work based teaching and training will be provided along with work based assessments, competencies and portfolio completion.
The NHS Walk in centre is a nurse led service, delivering care over two busy sites. Practitioners provide assessments diagnosis and treatment to patients presenting with primary care conditions. Working closely with the Emergency Department, Devon Doctors and GP’s. The walk in centre has changed provider since April 2018 and is under the management of the Emergency Department team at the Royal Devon and Exeter foundation trust.
