Are you an experienced Community Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge? Or are you an acute physiotherapist wanting to apply your rehabilitation skills in a community setting?

Due to new and innovative changes to the way we work, we have created an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team, working across the rehabilitation team and Urgent Community Response team in a full time (37.5 hours) Band 6 substantive peripertetic role covering the Crediton, Moretonhampstead and Okehampton area in Mid Devon.

Alongside our Associate Community Matrons and Occupational Therapists the post holder will be expected to provide assessments and therapy for patients on the Urgent Community Response pathway, which aims to prevent hospital admission and facilitate hospital discharge. The role also involves asessing urgent referrals to the Community Rehabilitation team which consists of a team of experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and support workers. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including those who have an acute illness, those requiring rehabilitation and those at the end of life.

The role involves working in a very beautiful and rural part of Devon, so although being be part of a large team, working as an autonomous practitioner is vital. The role requries travelling to patients homes, so being able to travel is key.

The role offers the opportunity to;

  • undertake MSc modules / CPD

  • be supported by experienced line managers and clinicians

  • develop your rehabilitation skills
