ADMINISTRATION APPRENTICE

HEALTH RECORDS DEPARTMENT

DUE TO THE ANTICIPATED HIGH NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POST WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE VACANCY BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE.

The Health Records Department currently has vacancies for 2 Administration Apprentices. The successful candidates will form part of a large friendly team who, together, ensure the essential service of providing patient case notes for emergencies and inpatient and outpatient attendances.

  1. The successful candidate will require the ability to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a team to meet tight deadlines to ensure the accurate and timely handling of patient casenotes.

  2. They will also undertake the Intermediate Apprenticeship course leading to a qualification at the end of the year. The Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration is a 12 month programme which includes: Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration, Functional Skills in Mathematics, English and Information Communication Technology (ICT) at Level 1, Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.

    Please note that this department is physically demanding and will include periods of time on your feet, walking distances or lifting.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
